Clipping Mask Tutorial

Using Clipping Masks in Serif PhotoPlus

1. Open a clipping mask and copy it to a new document
2. Image>adjust>negetive image
3. New Layer>fill with #000000 (that's black)
4. Drag that fill layer to the black
5. Merge layers (keep this image open!)
6. Open the photo you want to add your new clipping mask
to
7. Add layer mask
8. Layers>mask>veiw mask (your photo will seem to have
turned white but don't worry)
9. Use the Color Selection Tool to select the white
layer mask
10. Go back to the clipping mask we modifyed earlier and
copy it
11. Back to the photo paste>into selection
12. Layers>mask>veiw mask (do this again to make your
changes visible)
13. If you want you can add a fill layer under you photo
to add some color to your clipping mask. I just used
white
